At The Shropshire Distillery, we have always had a passion for quality-crafted, local spirits.
In fact, the disappointment we faced at a ‘local’ gin not quite being what they claimed was one of the focal events that led to The Shropshire Distillery’s opening.
Our goal has always been to create classic, honest spirits packed with delicious flavours for customers to enjoy, and as a way of being sure we are succeeding with our goal, we introduced our 5 star rated experiences back in 2021 for customers see first-hand how our spirts are made as well as offering an opportunity to hear their genuine thoughts on our products too.
You best believe we listened and have since been working hard behind the scenes to bring not one, but two brand new spirits to our growing collection here at The Shropshire Distillery.
Grapefruit & Hop Gin
Distilled using American Cascade hops with a punch of dried grapefruit, our Grapefruit & Hop Gin delivers a delicious citrus flavour balanced perfectly with light floral notes. With a soft undercurrent of juniper, it provides a smooth hoppy character that’s both tasty and refreshing.
We suggest serving with a slice of grapefruit, premium tonic and of course, good company! Perfect for those summer garden parties but a treat for you to enjoy all year round.
Originating from Barbados, Grapefruit is a subtropical citrus fruit known for it’s sour to semi-sweet flavour. Different to many other fruits, a grapefruit’s bitterness perfectly balances out it’s sweetness and delivers a delightful refreshing flavour.
With its unique taste, grapefruit was an ideal candidate when it came to blending something delicious yet different for our customers to enjoy. By adding American cascade hops to the mix, the flowers of the Humulus lupulus plant, we knew we were creating a delicious partnership of citrus, pine and floral flavour.
Spring Vodka
Distilled with wheat, our Spring Vodka features Wenlock Spring Water which filters naturally through 400-million-year-old Silurian Limestone, providing it with its unique blend of minerals. It’s this that gives our Spring Vodka a unique flavour that’s delicately sweet, clean and refreshing.
Enjoy with a citrus slice, a premium mixer, we love Franklin & Sons Sicilian Lemon Tonic! and, as always serve in good company! It’s the perfect addition to your drinks cabinet for you to savor all year round.
Wenlock Spring Water is a local family-run business that first began bottling its premium high-quality water back in 1989. With the spring located in an area of outstanding natural beauty within Shropshire and the company holding a Grade A Accreditation for the bottling of Wenlock Spring in both glass and plastic bottles, we knew it was the water we wanted to use in our new spirit.
Also a new extension from our range of gins and liqueurs, we are excited to offer customers something different from our Distillery that they can enjoy throughout the year.
