Frankincense and Myrrh Gin!
This festive blend truly embodies the warmth and richness of Christmas with the perfume of the ancient frankincense and myrrh aromatics.
Brimming with yule tide juniper-led flavours, this blend is a perfect addition to your Christmas and will leave your craving for seasonal flavours fully satisfied.
We’d recommend enjoying this one with a premium tonic and an orange slice – delicious!
This is an ideal candidate for anyone preferring those traditional gin flavours– and offers something seasonal and unique.
The perfect Christmas flavours; Aromatic and warm, frankincense and myrrh were perfect options when it came to selecting our Christmas flavours.
Referred to as the ‘King of Oils’ for its health and anti-aging benefits, frankincense is a fragrant resin harvested from the Boswellia sacra or ‘or olibanum tree.’
Myrrh has also popularly been used throughout history as an incense and medicine. A gum-resin from the flowering plant, Commiphora, myrrh is known also for its aromatic and healing qualities.
Both incenses were said to have been two of the ancient and precious gifts given at the birth of Jesus, the holiday many of us celebrate today as Christmas Day.
Blended into one bottle, along with our four core botanicals, clementine, nutmeg and cloves, we’ve taken these traditional flavours and made them into a gin that’s delicious, unique, and ready for you to enjoy all season.
Christmas Cocktail?
Christmas is the time for getting everyone together – parties, fun-filled evenings, and plenty of delicious flavours to go round.
And there’s no Christmas party without a gin cocktail!
For this seasonal delight, we’d recommend a Festive Christmas Negroni.
· 25ml Shropshire Frankincense & Myrrh Gin
· 25ml Red Vermouth
· 25ml Campari
Method
· Simply add all three ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice until well chilled.
· Strain into an ice-filled tumbler glass.
· Garnish with a sweet clementine wedge!
This recipe truly enhances the blend’s delicious flavours and is the perfect Christmas addition for a gin-lover.
