Cocktail Time – Part 2

Here is our second instalment of cocktail suggestions.  We hope you enjoy making and drinking these as much as we did. Its hard to choose a favourite!

Shire Smash

  • 50cl Shire Navy Strength Gib
  • 25ml Sugar Syrup
  • 25ml Lemon Juice
  • 12 Basil Leaves

Method:

Muddle the leaves and sugar syrup together and ‘smash’ them. Add in the lemon juice and gin and shake with plenty of ice. Strain into a glass full of ice. Garnish with basil and lemon peel

Ginger Spice

  • 50ml Shire Spiced Gin
  • 20ml Lime Juice
  • 20ml elderflower liquor
  • 20cl Ginger Honey syrup*

*Mix 1tbsp honey and 2tbsp boiling water, add a slice of fresh ginger. Allow to cool

Method:

Hard shake with plenty of ice and strain into a Coupe glass. Garnish with Lime twist

Spiced Negroni

  • 25ml Shire Spiced Gin
  • 25ml Red Vermouth
  • 25ml Campari

Method:

Add all three ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled. Strained into a tumbler glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of orange

Bitter Cherry Mojito

  • 50cl Shire cherry Gin
  • 40ml Campari
  • 25ml Lemon juice
  • 25ml Simple syrup
  • 4 muddles cherries
  • Crushed Ice

Method:

Muddle cherries, add all ingredient with ice and hard shake. Strain into a tumbler over crushed ice. Garnish with mint and cherry
